ZAGREB, Dec 7 (Hina) - Croatia's Education and Sports Minister Vladimir Strugar said on Thursday he did not contest the right of workers in public and state services to go on strike, but believed they had no valid reason for it since
the state settled all obligations towards teachers. Strugar said schools would be open for pupils tomorrow and that the ministry had organised transport for them. He expects a minor number of teachers in elementary and secondary schools will participate in the strike announced for tomorrow. Although he believes there is no reason to go on strike, the education minister said "it doesn't diminish the (ministry's) responsibility to point to the difficult financial situation of teachers and professors in both elementary and secondary schools."(hina) ha jn
