FIRST CROATIAN CONFERENCE ON PUBLIC RELATIONS STARTS IN OPATIJA

OPATIJA, Dec 1 (Hina) - More than 150 experts on public relations gathered for the first Croatian conference on public relations in the northern Adriatic resort of Opatija on Friday. The two-day event, organised by the Croatian Association for Public Relations, is held under the auspices of the Croatian parliament. Attending the meeting, along with participants and lecturers from Croatia, is also the president of the CERP (the International confederation of public relations associations), Richard Linning, who will speak about lobbying techniques and skills. Elisabeth Hatway of the CNN will speak about the Internet as a new and very interesting PR medium. The conference will also discuss the beginning and development of public relations in Croatia, new trends in state institutions, the education of PR managers, internal communication in companies, and the assessment of efficiency of marketing companies. A workshop on relations with the media and crisis communication and a round table are also to be held within the conference. (hina) rml
