Medulin Brijuni, took place in Pula's Arena last Wednesday. The author of this exhibition, which was staged within an international seminar on necropolises called "The City of the Dead Next to the City of the Living", is Kristina Dzin. More than 300 graves, dating back to the period between 50 B.C. and the sixth century, have been discovered and investigated at the archeological site Vizula near Medulin. A special subject of the research was the Burle necropolis of late antiquity. Necropolises of Ancient Mutila", a result of long-standing
scientific research of the Istria Archeological Museum and the
International Archeological Centre Medulin Brijuni, took place in
Pula's Arena last Wednesday.

customs and sacrifice-offering.
Works at the archeological site Vizula, in the centre of which is
the Burle necropolis, has started at the end of the last century
whereas systematic research started in 1981.
The site, it was said at the exhibition, is a basis for the future
archeological, scientific, conservation, promotional and tourist
evaluation of the entire archeological complex on the location of
today's Medulin.
