ZAGREB EVENT 'WEEK OF ISRAEL' ENDS ZAGREB, Nov 25 (Hina) - The end of the Sabbath, the traditional Jewish day of rest and worship, marked the end of "The Week of Israel" at the Croatian Jewish Community in Zagreb on Saturday. The event, which was opened on November 19, consisted of 12 different programmes, including numerous information on today's Israel and the Jewish culture and tradition. The main secretary of the Jewish Community, Dean Friedrich, said the central event of the event was an exhibition and visit of a renown Israeli painter and sculptor, Yaacov Agam. Lectures on the Israeli policy and economy were delivered by representatives from the Israeli embassy in Vienna. Also presented at The Week of Israel were three films. Visitors could also see dance and musical programmes and buy traditional Israeli souvenirs, obtain information on Jewish religious customs and taste traditional Jewish dishes.
