ZAGREB, Nov 14 (Hina) - Croatian President Stipe Mesic on Tuesday received credentials from Great Britain's and South Africa's ambassadors Robert Jarrold and Andries Venter. "We want to achieve several strategic goals, including
access to the EU and NATO. In this, we expect support from friendly countries," Mesic said receiving credentials from Jarrold. The new British ambassador said his government was hopeful Croatia would serve as an example to other countries in the region in implementing the reforms it initiated. Mesic said Croatia now represented a "security zone" and voiced hope it would be "recognised in the world" as such, both in political and economic terms.
