VARAZDIN, Nov 9 (Hina) - The municipal court in the northern town of Varazdin on Thursday passed a one year suspended sentenced for two Slovenes charged with disclosing confidential matter, with a three-year probation period, and a
five-year banishment from Croatia. Anton Slatinsek and Branko Bezgovsek were arrested in Dubrava Krizovljanska two years ago inside a van with expensive espionage equipment. The van will not be returned to them, but alongside the equipment and documentation found inside turned over to the Croatian Interior Ministry. The verdict says the two Slovenes used a special van to detect confidential military and police channel frequencies in order to collect as much information as possible from Croatian territory.
