ZAGREB, Nov 9 (Hina) - The president of the Croatian Judges' Association, Vladimir Gredelj, urged parliamentary deputies to refrain from the vote on constitutional changes in a letter which he made known on Thursday. Concerned about
the "future of the judicial authority and democracy in general," Gredelj calls on deputies to refrain from the vote "given the procedure which preceded it" and avoid being remembered as being responsible for national disgrace. Gredelj recalls that preserving the principles of the tripartition of authority and independence of the judiciary is more important than the hasty adoption of constitutional changes. Along with the letter, Gredelj forwarded a written opinion on the draft constitutional changes of the Vienna Penal Court president, who shares Gredelj's view that the draft constitutional changes referring to the judiciary are a "step backward in comparis
