I can confirm that Lucic has been released, spokesman Douglas
Coffman told reporters in Sarajevo. He warned, however, that it was
clear attempts were being made to obstruct and manipulate the
investigation of the "Leutar case", adding it would soon become
clear what was the aim of those attempts.
Before surrendering to the Sarajevo court, Lucic said he had in no
way been involved in Leutar's assassination and added he could
easily prove that at the time of the murder he had been performing
his regular military duties outside of Sarajevo.
Three persons have been arrested so far on suspicion of having
assassinated Leutar. Dominik Ilijasevic, Zoran Basic and Zeljko
Cosic were arrested on the territory of Bosnia-Herzegovina and are
at a Sarajevo prison. However, investigators also suspect the
involvement of Ivan Andabak, who is in prison in Zagreb under
charges of drug smuggling.
