Andabak, a resident of the Croatian town of Dalj, and Farrow, a
British national, are charged with smuggling 665 kilograms of
cocaine, which in Croatia can be punished with a maximum prison
sentence of 40 years.
The drugs were discovered in a container at the northern Adriatic
port of Rijeka in late December 1999.
The container had set out on a ship from the port of Guayaqil in
Ecuador and arrived in Rijeka by train from Antwerpen, Belgium. The
goods in the container were declared as canned tuna fish.
A retired Croatian Defence Council (HVO) general, Andabak is
currently at the Zagreb prison infirmary due to health problems.
An international arrest warrant has been issued for Paul Dexter
Farrow.
