BELGRADE, Nov 9 (Hina) - The citizens of Vojvodina want to restore economic relations with Croatia as a precondition for the development of all other relations, both with Croatia and other former Yugoslav states, the president of the
Assembly of the northern Yugoslav province, Nenad Canak, said on Wednesday. Canak made the statement at a meeting with the Croatian consul-general in Subotica, Jasminka Kovacevic-Cavlovic. The meeting was held at the request of the Croatian official, read a statement issued by the province's information secretariat. It is recalled in the statement that Canak and Croatian President Stipe Mesic had discussed the restoration of economic, cultural and other ties between Vojvodina and Croatia at a recent meeting.
