ZAGREB, Nov 8 (Hina) - The Croatian Union of Mine Removal Experts on Wednesday announced a protest rally and stoppage of mine removal activities throughout Croatia for November 20. About 280 mine removal experts, that is, all but
those employed with the Croatian army and police, will on November 20 gather in front of the government building in Zagreb's St. Mark's Square and hand their requests to parliamentary deputies, it was decided at a union meeting today. The union demands that the new law on mine removal ensures accelerated pension plan for mine removal experts, their retirement in line with conditions referring to professions of special state interest after 10 years of work in mine fields, as well as better care in case of an occupational disease.(hina) jn rml
