TURKISH PRESIDENT PRAISES RELATIONS WITH CROATIA

ANKARA, Nov 3 (Hina) - Turkey's President Ahmet Necdet Sezer has given a very high mark to the level of overall political, cultural, and other cooperation with Croatia. It is an example of good cooperation between two states, Sezer told outgoing Croatian Ambassador Ivica Tomic on Friday. He stressed, however, that trade should be brought to the same level as soon as possible. The Turkish president said he was looking forward to receiving Croatian Prime Minister Ivica Racan, who is coming to Turkey next week. Mutual visits by senior officials of the two friendly countries are the best indicator of the high level of cooperation, he said. Speaking about his recent talks with Croatian President Stipe Mesic at the United Nations headquarters in New York, Sezer said he hoped Mesic would visit Turkey in the near future.
