ZAGREB, Nov 2 (Hina) - An oil patch one kilometre long and 10 to 15 metres wide appeared on the Sava River between Bosanski Brod and Slavonski Brod Thursday. Croatian border police noticed the oil was leaking from an oil refinery
collector in Bosanski Brod on the Bosnian bank of the river (in Republika Srpska). A river island is causing the oil to flow towards the Croatian rover bank, the State Information Bureau has reported, and informed all relevant bodies about the incident. After Croatia's oil company INA's Operative Centre checked and confirmed that the source of the pollution did not come from their refineries in Croatia, the State Information Bureau contacted Bosnia-Herzegovina's Stanko Peric, in charge of such issues, who promised to contact authorities in Republika Srpska.(hina) lml jn
