ZAGREB, Oct 25 (Hina) - The Government is not ignoring social issues. On the contrary, stabilisation of the economy and clearing up economic ruins are primary issues on which the Government is spending more than 90 per cent of its time, Prime Minister Ivica Racan said at the Parliament's House of Representatives Wednesday during question time. Asked by MP Ante Kovacevic of the Croatian Catholic democratic Union (HKDU) why the Government was socially insensitive and when the trend of the unemployment rate increase would change, Racan said the assessment the Government was socially insensitive was incorrect. The new Government, along with the great number of unemployed, started out with many companies without production and a market, employing more than 150,000 people who were not receiving salaries.
