ZAGREB, Oct 20 (Hina) - Croatia's Prime Minister Ivica Racan said on Friday he was willing to discuss amendments to the constitution with President Stipe Mesic. "I am willing to meet President Mesic," Racan told reporters after
receiving Croatian athletes who won medals at the Sydney Olympics. Mesic had said he would discuss the amendments with the prime minister, but was not specific as to when. Racan said today he would reiterate the government position to turn the semi-presidential system into a parliamentary one. He thinks it is good that the president has come forward his remarks to an amendments draft, and reminded that it had been moved by parliament's Committee on the Constitution and not by the government.(hina) ha
