BEIJING, Oct 11 (Hina) - The speaker of the Chinese People's Parliament, Li Peng, on Wednesday met a Croatian parliamentary delegation, led by Sabor deputy speaker Zdravko Tomac, the Sabor reported. Tomac expressed satisfaction with
the development of the two countries' cooperation and pointed to the need to expand cooperation in economy and for China to support a just solution to the issue of succession of former Yugoslav republics, as a permanent UN Security Council member. Tomac also met China's Deputy Foreign Minister Yang Wenchang,
parliament deputy speaker Jiang Chumyun and the president of the

The Croatian delegation, which includes the chairwoman of the
Committee on Internal Policy and National Security, Djurdja
Adlesic, the president of the Committee on Inter-Parliamentary
Cooperation, Ivo Skrabalo, and a member of the Committee on Foreign
Policy, Ivo Slaus, will also visit the towns of Wian, Nanjing and
Shanghai, where they will discuss the strengthening of economic
ties with their hosts.
