CROATIAN SABOR DELEGATION VISITS CHINESE PARLIAMENT

BEIJING, Oct 11 (Hina) - The speaker of the Chinese People's Parliament, Li Peng, on Wednesday met a Croatian parliamentary delegation, led by Sabor deputy speaker Zdravko Tomac, the Sabor reported. Tomac expressed satisfaction with the development of the two countries' cooperation and pointed to the need to expand cooperation in economy and for China to support a just solution to the issue of succession of former Yugoslav republics, as a permanent UN Security Council member. Li Peng said his country wanted to improve relations with Croatia in all areas, especially in economy. China believes that Croatia is an important country and factor of peace in the region and fully understands its views regarding the issue of succession, Li Peng said, adding the issue should be resolved in a just manner, with respect for the interests of all states.
