VUKOVAR, Oct 6 (Hina) - The president of the Independent Democratic Serb Party (SDSS), Vojislav Stanimirovic, and the president of the Joint Council of Municipalities (ZVO), Milos Vojnovic, on Friday forwarded a joint letter to "the
President of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Prof Dr Vojislav Kostunica" expressing hope the new Yugoslav policy would also protect and help the Serb people in Croatia. Confident that the new Yugoslav policy will contribute to the normalisation of the situation in the region, Stanimirovic and Vojnovic also believe that "it (the policy) will find the way, respecting the position of its minorities, to protect and help the Serb people in Croatia, and other countries." Stanimirovic and Vojnovic also expressed satisfaction with the changes in Yugoslavia and hope that the current events there would end in a dignified and peaceful manner.(hina) rml
