ZAGREB, Sept 14 (Hina) - Croatia's President Stjepan Mesic and Sabor Speaker Zlatko Tomcic on Thursday separately received a delegation of the World Veterans Federation, led by the federation's Secretary-General Marek Hagmajer. The
delegation included also members of the Association of the Croatian Homeland War Veterans (UHVDR), that had invited Hagmajer to visit Croatia. After the meetings, the UHVDR President Djuro Decak said both Mesic and Tomcic offered full support to the Federation to set up an institute which can tackle psycho-social consequences of the war. This initiative has already been supported by Croatian Veterans Minister Ivica Pancic. A spokesman for the UHVDR, Branko Bosnjak, said that following
their meeting with, Ivan Fumic, the head of the association of the
WW II anti-Fascist veterans (SABH) on Wednesday, they were notified
that Croatian Social Welfare Minister Davorko Vidovic had endorsed
SABH requests that its members should be re-granted most of their
rights.
