SPLIT, Sept 26 (Hina) - The central part of a joint military exercise of the Croatian Armed Forces and the USA Sixth Fleet marines is being held in the area of the Sibenik archipelago. A total of 450 marines and 250 members of the
Croatian Armed Forces' 4th Guard Brigade are participating in the exercise, the purpose of which is a simulated attack on the island of Zirje in the Sibenik archipelago and its occupation. Also participating in the exercise are Croatian air force planes and Croatian Navy ships. The exercise is being watched by Croatia's Deputy Defence Minister Zlatko Gareljic, Navy Commander Vice-Admiral Vid Stipetic, and high-ranking officers of the Croatian air force.(hina) rml
