ZAGREB, Sept 12 (Hina) - Croatian Deputy Defence Minister Zlatko Gareljic on Tuesday held talks with the director of the United States European Command (USECOM), Brigadier John G. Miller. This meeting in Zagreb was a part of regular
contacts between the USECOM and the Croatian Army. Such talks address a programme the aim of which is to bring the Croatian defence system closer to western systems, namely to the U.S. defence system in this case, Gareljic said after the talks with Brigadier Miller who is also the director of the joint contact programme (JCTP). Gareljic said that to date over 5000 members of the Croatian Army had attended more than 300 different seminars and conferences in Croatia and abroad, and announced the continuation of such cooperation.
