BRIJUNI NATIONAL PARK BRIJUNI, Sept 16 (Hina) - The Croatian Army has with the consent of the Defence Ministry returned the hotel "Jurina" to the management of the national park Brijuni, a group of islands off the coast of the
northern Adriatic peninsula of Istria, and is to hand over the hotel "Franina" until October 1. The army has withdrawn from Cape Barban and announced its withdrawal from a part of the Peneda peninsula. One army unit will remain on Brijuni to secure the villas which are to be used for the purposes of the state protocol, it was said at Friday's session of the 'Brijuni' national park management council. The management council also discussed irregularities in the operation of the national park in the first eight months of this year and the opening of the residential part of Brijuni for elite tourism.
