independent sources on a large turnout of Yugoslav citizens who expressed their wish for changes that can lead towards democracy, read a statement released by Croatia's Foreign Ministry on Monday. Yesterday's elections were the choice between isolation and the path towards democracy, the Ministry assessed. Information which the Croatian Foreign Ministry has on the events and situation in Yugoslavia correspond with findings of the international community, with which Zagreb is closely following the developments.
