Commander Vice Admiral Vid Stipetic described this day as a symbol of Croatia's glory, pride and commitment to the loyal service to all citizens of the motherland and to those who gave their lives to create the Croatian Navy. The Armed Forces Supreme Commander's envoy, Vice Admiral Davorin Kajic, commented on the change of authorities and Croatia's admission to the Partnership for Peace - events which marked this year - and pointed to the importance the Navy was playing in the re-organisation of the Croatian Army in accordance with NATO's standards.
