ZAGREB, Sept 8 (Hina) - Croatian European Integration Minister Ivan Jakovcic on Thursday held talks with French Ambassador Albert Turot about the upcoming summit of the EU countries and countries included in the process of
stabilisation and association, the Ministry said in a statement. Turot, as the ambassador of the country chairing the EU, acquainted Jakovcic with France's suggestions regarding the summit, to be held on November 24. Jakovcic and Turot, who was accompanied by the first advisor with the French Embassy, Louis de Corail, also discussed preparations for the beginning of talks between Croatia and the EU on a stabilisation and association agreement. The two officials also discussed the EU's CARDS programme of assistance to countries in the region.(hina) rml
