SINJ AREA SINJ, Aug 9 (Hina) - A forest fire between Lake Perucko and the D1 state road from Zagreb to Split spread out thanks to a strong wind. The fire had been localised Tuesday morning, the Sinj voluntary fire-fighters society
said- The fire-fighters cannot close in on the flames because of land mines in the area, so are extinguishing edges of the fire, aided by a helicopter and a fire-fighting plane. By 3pm more than 15 hectares of oak and pine forest has burnt. During the morning another fire broke out near the Gljev village. Sinj fire-fighters are battling the flames expecting assistance from air. (hina) lml
