OBROVAC, Aug 22 (Hina) - A fire, which broke out near the southern
Croatian town of Obrovac, has consumed over 600 hectares of forest,
the Zadar police department reported Tuesday.
Zadar and Benkovac firefighters, with the help of one Canadair,
managed to put out the fire which broke out yesterday afternoon.
Putting out the fire was obstructed due to the danger of mines and
other planted explosive devices.
The cause of the greatest fire in Zadar County so far, is still to be
