ZAGREB, July 29 (Hina) - The Croatian Auto Club (HAK) on Saturday reported heavy traffic on all roads leading from the mainland to the coastal region, in the northern Adriatic region of Istria and on the road running along the
Adriatic coast. There were no delays on the Zagreb-Karlovac highway, all nine exit gates were open. Traffic through Karlovac was slow and vehicles were driving in lines. Heavy traffic was reported on D1 road in the area of Udbina and Korenica. In order to decrease traffic and due to a large number of vehicles arriving from Bosnia, the police were redirecting traffic from the direction of Gracac toward Karlovac to the road Gospic-Otocac-Zuta Lokva and further to Josipdol-Duga Resa. The police advise drivers travelling in the direction of Split to take D23 road Duga Resa-Josipdol-Zuta Lokva and travel further to Otocac-Gospic-Gracac. There were no delays on the Zagreb-Karlovac highway, all nine exit
gates were open. Traffic through Karlovac was slow and vehicles
were driving in lines.
Heavy traffic was reported on D1 road in the area of Udbina and
Korenica. In order to decrease traffic and due to a large number of

Ferry traffic between the mainland and Adriatic islands is regular
and some ports have engaged the maximum number of ferries.
Passengers are waiting for up to two hours to get on board toward the
island of Pag at Jablanac while those waiting at Prizna, Zigljen and
Brestova are waiting for up to half an hour.
Additional ferry lines have been introduced toward southern
Adriatic islands as well and there have been no major delays.
Heavy traffic and minor delays have been reported at border passes
on the border with Slovenia and Hungary. Traffic at the Bajakovo
border crossing toward Yugoslavia is heavy and vehicles are waiting
in lines long up to three kilometres. The police have reported heavy
traffic on border passes with Bosnia-Herzegovina and delays of one
to two hours.
