will at 10 am on July 19 stop railway traffic in the country for one
day in protest of the difficult situation in the HZ and the HZ
management's suit against three unions which last week protested by
slowing down the speed of trains by 30 kph.
The Union of Engine Drivers, the Union of Railway Workers and the
Union of HZ Infrastructure will organise the strike together with
three other HZ unions which have joined them in the meantime, union
leaders told a press conference on Monday, after the first hearing

The HZ management claims that by slowing down railway traffic the
unionists have jeopardised the safety of railway traffic and that
their action was illegal.
The unions deny having jeopardised traffic safety and emphasise
that their strike on July 19 will be organised strictly in line with
the law - all trains which are scheduled to drive at the time of the
strike will be operating. The unions today again requested that
Transport Minister Alojz Tusek and the HZ management resign.
