KNIN'S 260 HOUSING BUILDINGS KNIN, July 24 (Hina) - The Swiss government-financed, 16 million kuna (US$1.95 million)-worth reconstruction of 260 housing buildings in Vrpolje near Knin, southern Croatia, began on Monday. By
reconstructing these houses we want to help all the victims of last decade's war, Swiss Ambassador to Croatia Paul Widmer said on the occasion. Half the housing buildings were purchased by the Agency for Real Estate Management and should accommodate Croats from Bosnia-Herzegovina. The other half will be occupied by Croatian Serb returnees. Croatian Assistant Reconstruction Minister Lovre Pejkovic thanked the Swiss government, saying Switzerland had been assisting Croatia since 1992 and that it had been the first to recognise the need that all Croatian citizens should receive equal assistance.(hina) ha mm
