PULA, July 16 (Hina) - The annual film festival in Oprtalj, Istria, will be held July 21-23, showing eight short and feature-length motion pictures from Croatia, Slovenia, and Italy, said Igor Galo, the festival's director and owner
of production company Histria-film, at a press conference in Pula earlier this week. Besides contributing to the promotion of Istria, Croatia's largest peninsula in the northern Adriatic Sea, the development of cooperation among the region's artists, and giving motion picture industry workers an opportunity to meet, this year's Oprtalj Film Weekend will give painters and musicians an opportunity to also meet. The festival will feature two Croatian films, Vinko Bresan's "Marsal" and Dejan Acimovic's "Je li jasno prijatelju". Istra County earmarked 35,000 kuna (US$4,375) for the festival.(hina) ha
