ZAGREB, July 9 (Hina) - There are no longer active forest fires in Sibenik-Knin County (southern Croatia). A fire in the Skradin hinterland has been brought under control of fire-fighters. A fire that broke out at 10.35 am Saturday
near Nevest (in the municipality of Unesic) was extinguished at about 01.25 pm yesterday. A fire near Biocici-Stikovo was also brought under control. According to a report of the Croatian National Information Centre, a strong storm struck the area of Rovinj (on the peninsula of Istria) at about 10.00 pm Saturday. A gale blowing at the speed of over 100 kilometres per hour, uprooted trees and broke branches.
