decision making and access to judiciary in environmental issues started in the southern Adriatic town of Cavtat Monday. The two day meeting gathered 120 participants from 34 countries, the European Commission and non-governmental associations, and was organised by the Croatian Ministry for Environmental Protection and Zoning. The event was opened by Croatian Minister for Environmental Protection and Urban Planning Bozo Kovacevic. Speaking of the adjustment of the Croatian legislation, Minister Kovacevic said a great number of laws stipulating the protection of the environment and nature have already been adjusted. The convention was passed in Aarhus, Denmark in 1998. so far, it had been ratified by seven countries, and at the first meeting of signatory

Speaking of the adjustment of the Croatian legislation, Minister

countries including Croatia said they would confirm the convention
