ZAGREB, July 8 (Hina) - The Croatian Fire Fighters' Association and the Green Action on Saturday launched a campaign for fire prevention, which is aimed at increasing awareness of the danger of fire on the Croatian coast. Young
activists this morning distributed leaflets entitled 'Stop Forest Fires' at border passes on the Croatian-Slovene border. The leaflets caution all those travelling to the coastal region not to throw away cigarette butts or light fires in the open, and to dial 93 and inform the police in case they spot fire or smoke. Messages on the leaflet are written in seven foreign languages. Next week, the Croatian Fire Fighters' Association will set up billboards with anti-fire messages along heavily travelled roads.
