SIBENIK, July 1 (Hina) - A large forest fire which broke out in the Primosten hinterland around 2 p.m. on Saturday was put under control at 8 p.m., said a professional fire-fighting unit active in Sibenik, southern Croatia. About 100
hectares of pine-wood, vineyard and olive-grove were burned in the fire which, carried by strong winds in the afternoon, for a while threatened the villages of Tribesic and Kalina. Ninety members of the local professional fire-fighting unit and a local fire-fighting society, as well as three canadair planes and 20 fire-fighting vehicles worked on extinguishing the fire.(hina) ha
