The Croatian President who is in an official two-day visit to
Poland, held talks with Polish Prime Minister Jerzy Buzek,
president of the Polish Upper House Alicja Grzeskowiak, and
president or the Lower House Maciej Plazynski.
Buzek expressed satisfaction because of Croatia's interest in the
building of the gas pipe lines between Norway and the Adriatic.
This is a great idea and I believe we can make a strong gas pipe lines
through central Europe, said the Polish Prime Minister. I have been
negotiating this with the Norwegian and Danish Prime Ministers for
over a year and Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Slovakia are also
participating in the talks, and Ukraine expressed interest into
being involved as well, said Buzek.
He added Poland was also interested in cooperation in the field of
energetic and trade.
Buzek stressed Poland would present Croatia with concrete motions
and plans during the upcoming visit of Croatian Prime Minister
Ivica Racan to Warsaw.
Croatian President Mesic said Croatia's tourism demanded better
promotion in Poland in order for Polish tourists to discover
Croatia as it was the case before the war.
