SVAJCARNICA, June 23 (Hina) - Reconstruction works were completed on Friday on three power-supply objects in three eastern Croatian municipalities, Svajcarnica, Darda, and Knezevi Vinogradi. The reconstruction, which cost 1.15 million
kuna (US$144,000), was part of the United States Agency for International Development's Return Assistance Programme (RAP). USAID ensured the material for the reconstruction, while HEP, Croatia's power utility company, executed the work. USAID Mission to Croatia head Charles Aanenson said the completion of the three power-supply objects marked end of the US$13.7 million-worth RAP, whose funds were mainly invested in infrastructure projects. This however does not mark the end of USAID's presence in eastern Croatia, which suffered huge damage during last decade's Serb aggression. Aanenson said cooperation with local authorities would continue via economy

million-worth RAP, whose funds were mainly invested in
infrastructure projects.
This however does not mark the end of USAID's presence in eastern
Croatia, which suffered huge damage during last decade's Serb
aggression. Aanenson said cooperation with local authorities would
continue via economy-related projects worth some US$10 million,
including agriculture assistance projects.
