Croatian Prime Minister Ivica Racan said on Monday, commenting on a
request that Veterans' Minister Ivica Pancic be replaced.
The Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) today suggested a vote of no
confidence in Minister Pancic, after he announced that his ministry
had annulled disability certificates of some high-ranking officers
and heads of veterans' associations.
It is the legal right of every Opposition to demand that a minister

One should adequately protect soldiers and true Homeland War
veterans from those who wrongfully claim their rights. If a mistake
has been made in that process, on which the Government insists, they
will be easily corrected, but the process should be continued
whether the Opposition likes it or not, Racan said.
