HDZ WILL REQUEST VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE IN VETERANS' MINISTER

ZAGREB, June 19 (Hina) - The Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) bench will on Monday hand Parliament President Zlatko Tomcic a proposal on a vote of no confidence in Croatian War Veterans' Minister Ivica Pancic of the Social Democratic Party (SDP). The HDZ believes Pancic cannot hold the responsible and honourable office of minister because of his hasty and irresponsible announcement of alleged fake disabled war veterans. The party will therefore ask that parliament open a debate on Pancic's responsibility, HDZ officials told reporters on Monday. Pancic has gravely violated the individual and civil rights of the concerned veterans, particularly because he failed to warn the public that those persons have the right to appeal to the decision of the Government Commission all the way up to the Constitutional Court, said the head of the HDZ bench, Vladimir Seks.
