PLITVICE LAKES, June 16 (Hina) - A two-day seminar which addressed freedom of the media and privacy ended at Plitvice Lakes National Park on Friday. The seminar was organised by the Council of Europe and the Croatian Foreign
Ministry's department for human rights. Today the seminar addressed the relationship between journalists and politicians and judicial bodies, and freedom of expression and the flow of information. Speeches were held by Zagreb County Court president Marin Mrcela, attorney Vesna Alaburic, Council of Europe representative Mario Oetheimer, and Austrian freelance journalist Peter Warta. Mrcela said the seminar had been assessed successful because it managed to answer some questions in connection with the right to information and the right to privacy. Croatian Foreign Ministry representative Ivana Goretic announced similar seminars on cooperation with the Council of Europe in the autumn.(hina)
