SUPETAR, June 3 (Hina) - Independent journalists and representatives of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) from Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia on Saturday commenced a two-day symposium on the strategy of
activities of NGOs. The event, prepared by an association for research of transition towards democracy (ToD) is taking place in Supetar on the southern Croatian island of Brac. Eminent Croatian reporters, scholars, activists of NGOs from Bosnia and anti-regime societies from Serbia will also discuss the situation in the region and possibilities of regional co-operation. They are to consider post-election processes in Croatia, their impact in the region and the role of media in the strengthening of the democratic culture.
