ZAGREB, May 25 (Hina) - Croatian and Bavarian ministries of interior affairs on Thursday signed a joint declaration on the struggle against all forms of crime, including international organised crime, drug trafficking and terrorism.
The document was signed by Croatian Interior Minister Sime Lucin and the state secretary with Bavaria's Interior Ministry, Hermann Regensburger. After that they gave brief statements to reporters. Lucin told journalists that his ministry would soon undergo important re-organisation. He added that a law on police and other acts would be soon completed which would help de-politicise this ministry. Professionalism and skilfulness will become the chief criteria for the promotion of the staff, he said. Regensburger said the signed declaration should help further the ties between the two ministries that had begun to cooperate in 1994.(hina) mm ms
