ZAGREB, June 14 (Hina) - Croatian diplomatic offices will next month undergo an extensive reform because their number and costs must be adjusted to the economic situation, Croatian Prime Minister Ivica Racan said during question time
at the House of Representatives on Wednesday. Asked by Zdenka Babic Petricevic of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) why Croatian consulates in Toronto, Milan and New Zealand were being closed, Racan said the government had committed to spending the money of tax payers economically. We are facing the rationalisation of the diplomatic network, which should reduce the costs and increase the efficiency of Croatia's diplomacy, Racan said.(hina) jn rml
