DUBROVNIK, June 9 (Hina) - Romanian President Emil Constantinescu on Friday finished his three-day state visit to Croatia with his tour of the southern seaside resort of Dubrovnik and talks with local authorities. Constantinescu
arrived in Zagreb on Wednesday evening for the three-day official visit. On Thursday, he held talks with his host, Croatian President Stjepan Mesic, and other top officials including Premier Ivica Racan and Sabor House of Counties Speaker, Katica Ivanisevic. Constantinescu and his interlocutors agreed that good political relations between Zagreb and Bucharest should be used for the promotion of the economic bilateral ties. Constantinescu arrived in Zagreb on Wednesday evening for the
three-day official visit.
On Thursday, he held talks with his host, Croatian President

Constantinescu and his interlocutors agreed that good political

During his stay in Zagreb the Romanian head of state met with

Constantinescu's visit to Zagreb is the first official visit of a
statesmen to Croatia since the inauguration of the incumbent
Croatian President Stjepan Mesic.
Mesic conferred on Romanian President the High Order of King
Tomislav with the Sash and Great Morning Star for his exceptional
contribution to the promotion of friendship and cooperation,
whereas Constantinescu presented Mesic with Romania's highest
decoration: the state medal of the Romanian star for the
furtherance of the overall bilateral relations.
