LICKO PETROVO SELO, May 20 (Hina) - "We shall have to intensify the control over the border with Bosnia-Herzegovina, as recently the number of illegal border crossings has increased," said Croatian Interior Minister Sime Lucin during
his tour of the border crossing in Licko Petrovo Selo. He visited this crossing between Croatia and western Bosnia within his tour to Lika-Senj County. According to the Minister, the number of illegal crossings has drastically climbed since NATO's intervention in Kosovo. This year has seen an increase in the number of illegal Turkish, Iranian and Romanian immigrants. Minister Lucin announced that there would be more policemen in patrol over the frontier and that they would have better technical and material equipment for detecting illegal immigrants and smuggled goods.
