ZAGREB, June 6 (Hina) - An agreement enabling the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to implement a project of reducing the pollution of the Sava River basin will be signed at the Croatian Water Management (DUV) on
Tuesday afternoon. The implementation of the project should start in September this year. The Croatian Foreign Ministry and the Water Management in 1997 suggested to the JICA to implement a project called "The Study on Reducing the Pollution of the Sava River Basin" as part of Japan's technical assistance to Croatia. The study would include the drawing up of the so-called 'master plans' for the areas of the City of Zagreb and Zagreb, Karlovac and Sisak-Moslavina Counties. At a session on May 25 the Croatian government adopted a decision on initiating the procedure for the signing of an agreement on the implementation of this project.(hina) mm rml
