The drowned persons are believed to be a part of groups of foreigners who have been trying, in recent months, to cross illegally the border on the Sava between Bosnia- Herzegovina and Croatia on their tour towards western Europe. In April, border police in this county prevented 22 Chinese, 23 Iranian, 40 Kurdish and four Bosnian nationals from passing the frontier illegally. In May they thwarted similar attempts of 20 Turks and one Bosnian citizen. (hina) mm ms
