POREC, July 8
(Hina) - The second edition of the Valamar Jazz
Festival in the Istrian coastal town of Porec began on Thursday
evening with a concert given by Croatian singer Tamara Obrovac and
Transhistria Ensemble in cooperation with the the Czech String Quartet
Epoque in Euphrasian Basilica. After their performance, Richard
Galliano Piazzolla Forever Septet also gave the concert in the
basilica.
The venues of this year's festival will be several locations in Porec.
On Friday, Miguel Zenon Quartet and Tania Maria, a Brazilian singer, bandleader and pianist, will perform o the island of St. Nikola.
The festival will end with a concert by Nils Landgren Funk Unit on Saturday evening.
