ZAGREB, May 17 (Hina) - Croatian Defence Ministry's Public Relations Bureau on Wednesday said a monument to the victims of fascism during WWII was damaged in Veljun at 1am Wednesday. A sergeant 1st class and four staff sergeants of
the Croatian Armed Forces were apprehended under suspicion they had committed this act. Karlovac police and military police officers are carrying out the investigation. The suspects have been detained on military police premises. A verbal conflict occurred recently in Veljun between Croats and Serbs, when a group of Croat veterans interrupted a commemoration to Serbs who had been killed by the Ustashi in 1941.(hina) lml jn
