"In the area of foreign policy, we are moving steadfastly toward Euro-Atlantic integration. These days we have been witnessing the fact that we are becoming 'partners for peace' in a region which is marked by disputes, crises and conflicts. Being recognised as a country which can help solve problems, without being part of the problem, we are drawing closer to the standards and achievements of Europe, whose readiness to open its door for us is increasing. The key terms in all our activities are patience, integrity, dialogue and tolerance." "Hoping that the future will be the witness to positive results of our present efforts, I offer my best wishes to all Croatian citizens on the occasion of Statehood Day," Tomcic said. (hina) rml
