TRIESTE/RIJEKA, May 22 (Hina) - Primorje-Gorski Kotar County Prefect Milivoj Brozina and the president of the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Roberto Antonione, signed an agreement on cooperation between the two regions in
Trieste on Monday. The agreement regulates cooperation in economy and entrepreneurship, zoning and environmental protection, and science and culture. It also defines the mutual protection of national minorities. The two sides agreed to form a mixed working group, made up of politicians and experts for individual interest areas, which will start implementing decisions of mutual interest in two weeks. Friuli-Venezia Giulia will support Croatia's efforts to join the European Union and other European associations, Antonione said.(hina) rml
